This thread is for our general rules, regarding raids, codes of conduct, etc.
It will be updated as we go, but I don't see a need to articulate our general standards into a complete compendium of legislated rules with consequences, unless it is to deal with a certain issue or situation that is relevant to attend.

General

Ninjas
We have a zero tolerance for ninjas in the guild. There may be certain times where it may seem tempting and even fitting to ninja, but be aware that we share a brand when being a part of Idiocracy and that brand which affect all of us.

Time:
- The official time of this guild is GMT+1 real time. That means that if raid time says 19.15 then it would be 19.15 on your computer even though in-game time would be around 19.26.

Discrimination & Harassment
We are committed to providing an environment free of discrimination and harassment, where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, can contribute fully and have equal opportunities. Every player (Member or not) has the right to be free from harassment and discrimination. Harassment and discrimination will not be tolerated, condoned or ignored. If a claim of harassment or discrimination is proven, disciplinary measures will be applied, up to and including removal from the guild.

Raids

Raid times
- We raid from 19.15-23.00
- You need to be online at 19.00 for invites or else you will be noted and decrease your chance of loot + raid spot in the future. If you do not show up before 19.15 your spot may forfeit to an online player.
- If you know you will be delayed between - that means everything after 19.10 - please let us know in the comment field or by contacting an officer. This way you will not get noted for being late.
- Sunday and Thursdays are our main raid days in which we will take attendance and focus on progress.

Consumables
We require a minimum of ‘Need to Have’ consumables in all raids. Some classes may be required to use additional consumables. For more information, see the Required Consumables List or speak with your Class Leader. If you do not use consumables in encounters in these raids, you will not get any loot. This is a team-effort and all of us are contributing, so it is not fair to all the people who farm and get consumables just to skip it and hope for the best.

Farm Raids
Molten Core, Onyxia and Zul'Gurub are currently our farm raids, but that does not mean that people have stopped needing to go there and get upgrades. Due to this fact, pugging is generally not acceptable without having a reason and having shared it with an officer.
However this does not count for Zul'Gurub, since it only has a 3 day reset timer and only require 20 members. We do still encourage to stick together and help each other out but the officer team will not promise to host it anymore. All raiders are therefore allowed to go to the calendar and create a ZG event if you wish to go.
Molten Core and Onyxia is another story and we do not tolerate that you pug it outside the guild, without permission from an officer.

Alternative Characters in Raid

Alternative Characters may be permitted in Molten Core under the following conditions:

1. The character switch does not cause class requirements to drop below minimum. Four tanks and ten healers will be required for each raid.

2. The Class Leaders of the member's main character and alternative character must agree to the switch.

3. The alternative character must be level 60.

4. The alternative character must have pre-bis or be close to pre-bis. The character is not to be "carried" through the raid.

5. Members will not be asked to switch between their main character and alternative character; however, they may propose it to the Class Leaders, if they only require a specific item. This switch must comply with rule 1 and not impact the raid's momentum. The character entering must be waiting outside Molten Core, ready to enter immediately.

Alternative Characters will not be permitted in Blackwing Lair, except under extenuating circumstances.

Alt raids
A lot of people have high level alts and if you want to PuG with them, then you are allowed - of course. Just remember not to invite any main characters of the guild or somehow interfere with any other guild business.

Addons:
We require all members to have downloaded and installed:
- Bigwigs.
- KTM Threat Meter.

For Paladins:
- Pally Power.

For Healers in general:
- Luna Raid Frames. This addon is currently the only way for you to see others incoming healing and for them to see yours. This will drasticly increase our efficient healing is therefore a raid requirement. Follow link to read more: http://idiocracyguild.com/forum_threads/2343391.

Regarding our Raid Calendar (Events):

http://idiocracyguild.com/events

- We will seek to make all raids a week in advance on the calendar, but be aware that the raid location or information may change, in relation to our progress in a certain instance or other needs that may arise. As an example - if we do not manage to kill Onyxia and Molten Core in one evening, we would then need to use some time on finishing Molten Core before heading to BWL, but we would not know that a week in advance.

- You will have to sign up at least 1 day in advance to have priority on a raid spot. But the sooner, the better. It makes life much easier for raid leaders to plan and make groups (for Razorgore this is critical), which will speed up the raid and make the whole experience more enjoyable for everyone. So please sign up, even if it to let us know that you can not come!

- Signing up as "attending" gives you priority on a raid spot above "maybe".

So in short: Sign up on time > Attending > Maybe > Signing too late > Not signing at all. The only time in which this rule might be overlooked is if we have had to promote a casual for raid and a raider then shows up. Raiders do always have prio over Socials for raid spots.

And to remove any confusion - the number is not important, but signing before deadline is.

The groups will be made 1 day ahead of raid. All of those in group 1-8 are the ones who have been approved for the raid, those in group 9 are the raiders who signed up on time, but have to sit out this time and group 10 is for the Socials that signed up on time and have prior in case there is not sufficient raiders attending.

Additional notes
We rotate raid members on a weekly basis. This means that if you get a spot and get 7/8 in BWL on Sunday, then you are guaranteed a spot on Tuesday for Nefarian - if you have signed up on time for both raids and your rank is raider.

Per Kologarn's post (http://idiocracyguild.com/forum_threads/2343391), Healers are now required to use Luna Unit Frames and it's UI. This is to help prevent excessive overheal by both parties.

Update: Due to us not being clear enough about it, the raid times and show up rules have been properly written down. There will be NO further changes in raid days until we feel that we have a 100% chance of getting BWL in one evening.

Update: ZG is now allowed to be pugged and raiders are allowed to create their own ZG events on the calendar, to try and keep the guild-action going.

Old Rule:

Consumables
We only require all consumables in raids that we are still progressing in. That means the raids we do not have on farm yet or are still struggling with.
That is currently:

If you do not use consumables in encounters in these raids, you will not get any loot.
